$3.33 million in local donations, state, local affairs (DOLA), early childhood grants, and tax credits in partnership with Watershed, Inc. for consolidation of preschool, expanding program space in elementary (2024)

TOTAL: $26,994,000 million since 2012 in funding for capital projects, at no expense to property owners, to preserve and extend the life expectancy and usefulness of district facilities.

The district will continue this plan  to seek grants and work with our partners for ongoing preservation of our capital assets.

The district has invested tax collections for the purpose of addressing priority master planning facility projects while minimizing district taxpayer impact.  At this time, the district is able to refinance current bonds by extending the debt payments 20 years.  By extending this bond payment, the taxpayer will not experience a tax increase and the district will utilize the additional $3.9 million for prioritized preservation and improvements.  Priority projects include:

  • Address site safety and accessibility needs at Avery Parsons

  • Address safety, security and accessibility needs around the historical campus (preschool and district office)

  • Replace a failing boiler that was preserved during the 2018 middle/high school gym remodel to extend its useful life

  •  Upgrade drainage and surface issues at track to extend useful life
