Spring 2024 Testing Excusal Form

BV Schools routinely reviews and establishes curriculum standards for each grade level and subject.  These are defined and published for teachers, families, and district stakeholders as BV Essentials.  Essentials are the overarching big understandings a student should know and be able to do in the subject and grade.  Subtopics, or “targets” for each Essential are defined to further guide instruction and student learning.  Finally, teachers establish standard assessments and grading benchmarks for Essentials that are reported and monitored each semester.  BV Essentials for subjects and grades are below.

BV Essentials are the curriculum standards and assessments aligned with Colorado Academic Standards. Intentional Design (IDA) is the standard of instructional practices for BV Schools.
